PLEASE NOTE: This party is best suited for artists age 6 and up. If your artist has siblings/relatives/friends younger than 6 years old, please send an inquiry to [email protected] or via the contact form to discuss options.
What is a "Make N' Paint Clay" Party?
This is a pop-up event; I will bring the party to you! I bring all the necessary art supplies to your location and provide full instruction for how to sculpt, decorate, and paint ceramics to your party guests and artists. Please ensure your space is large enough to accommodate all of your guests. This party is suitable for any occasion: birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, team-building, bachelorette parties, you name it!
Please note that creating ceramic art is a multi-step process, and my "Make N' Paint Clay" Party only involves steps 1-3 of... well, many! Once your party artists have finished creating their artwork, I take the artwork to my home studio to prepare them for firing in my kiln. After the artwork has been fired, I assemble accessory parts as needed, and then I carefully pack them to be shipped directly to their original creators! **I do not provide food or refreshments for your guests.**
What if I want to hold my event outside my home/location? Do you have an external space available?
I proudly work with Outside the Lines Art Studio to host my "Make N' Paint Clay" Parties. OTL Art Studio rents their space for $35/hour. I go into more detail below, but the average "Make N' Paint Clay" Party should take no more than 2-3 hours. If you would like to hold your "Make N' Paint Clay" Party at Outside the Lines Art studio, it will be an additional fee of at least $75-105.
You referred to "party guests" and "artists." What is the difference?
For the purposes of my pop-up party, a "guest" refers to anyone present at your party. Any guest is welcome to listen and follow along with my workshop. An "artist" refers to those specific guests who are participating in the workshop to create something that will be shipped to their home at a later date.
What kind of artwork can I make at a "Make N' Paint Clay" Party?
At this time, I only have one type of party package: clay accessories! I will teach your artists how to create clay art that can be used to make earrings, hair clips, and necklaces, ideally no larger than 1-2 inches.

How long is a "Make N' Paint Clay" Party?
It takes me roughly 20-30 minutes to set up, and another 20-30 minutes to take down my workshop space. You can estimate a total of 2-3 hours for my workshop instruction and the time it will take for your artists to sculpt, decorate, and paint their clay accessories. If you would like to open/exchange presents and/or you have brought food & refreshments for your guests to enjoy, then this will of course increase the length of the party. Please keep this in mind if you decide to book your party at Outside the Lines Art Studio.
This sounds fun! How do I book a "Make N' Paint Clay" Party?
You can send a party inquiry to my contact form or to [email protected]. If we've worked together previously and/or you have my business card with my personal phone number, you can reach out to me there as well. Please read & ensure you understand the following details as you prepare to book:
Scheduling:
- Parties MUST be planned at least three (3) weeks in advance
- Once I have confirmed a date/time with you, a $50 non-refundable deposit will be due to secure your booking, sent via Square. This deposit MUST be paid at least two (2) weeks prior to your party, otherwise I may not be able to accommodate your chosen date/time. This deposit will go towards the $375 minimum.
Pricing:
- MINIMUM of SIX (6) artists @ $62.50 each = $375
- Artesstry can host up to 10 artists; $37.50 per artist added after the 8th
- 8 artists = $500
- 10 artists = $575
- There is no additional charge for accompanying adults or additional guests at the party. Accompanying adults are welcome to assist their young artists (age 6-12) during the party; however, if any adults wish to create their own accessories to take home, an additional fee of $30 per adult artist will be applied to the second invoice
- ALLERGIES: If any artist in your party has jewelry allergies and requires hypoallergenic jewelry components, you MUST inform me of this prior to submitting your deposit. At this time, I only have hypoallergenic jewelry parts for EARRINGS only, not hair clips or necklaces. I'm working to make hair clips and necklaces available soon! Your artist can make up to 5 pairs of earrings as a substitute, if they require hypoallergenic jewelry parts. Hypoallergenic jewelry parts will also cost an additional $5 per artist.
- Your $50 deposit will go towards the $375 minimum; an invoice of $325 will be sent via Square on the morning of your event and will be due upon my arrival; a second invoice for any applicable additional fees (added artists, hypoallergenic jewelry parts, OTL studio rental hourly rate) will be sent via Square once the clay-making has concluded and will be due prior to my departure
A "Make N' Paint Clay" Party includes:
- All art supplies, 2 4ft x 2ft tables, and 10 chairs will be provided (OTL Art studio will have more tables and chairs available)
- All art instruction
- Each artist creates: up to 2 make n' paint earring pairs, up to 2 make n' paint hair clips, and 1 pendant to create a necklace
- 1 goodie bag per artist with surprise clay accessories made by Artesstry!
- Kiln firing costs
- USPS Priority Mail Shipping Fees
Additonal Policies:
- Please allow 3-5 weeks for your make n' paint clay accessories to be processed, assembled, shipped & delivered to you
- On the day of the party, artists may choose local pickup of their make n' paint accessories in lieu of shipping; $5 per artist who chooses local pickup will be reimbursed once all of the ceramic accessories have been fully processed & prepared for delivery
Reschedule/Cancellation Policy:
- You may reschedule or cancel your party up to one (1) week before your confirmed party date at no additional charge
- If it is less than one (1) week before your confirmed party date, a $50 non-refundable rescheduling fee will apply; if you need to cancel, a $100 non-refundable cancellation fee will apply
- Rescheduling fees DO NOT go towards the $375 minimum
